Everyone loves a good Throw Back Thursday photo. The whole #tbt thing got me thinking about things I loved as a child. A lot of my photo memories as a child I couldn’t eat today. Which of course anyone living the gluten free lifestyle out of need understands. However it does not mean that we can’t long for them fondly. That desire to have some of the memories I had created with my mom as memories for me and Riley was the main driving force to start this blog.
As a kid I was dragged along to many sport events of my brothers. The highlights for me were the concession stand and playing with the other sisters that were dragged along. I loved to get Slush Puppies, Gummy Bears and Chick-O-Sticks. Since going gluten free I had avoided Chick-O-Sticks. I just assumed that the crunch was due to something wheat filled.
So I’m excited to say that this first #tbtsnackedition is the Chick-O-Stick. Not only is it gluten free but it is clearly labeled! (Also Vegan friendly, zero trans fat, zero cholesterol, Kosher certified and made in the USA.) As nice as it was to have a flash back to my childhood summers, I am quite glad that I’m not actually stuck at a baseball game. I’m ok with biting into that crunchy peanut butter and toasted coconut as I type away at work.
What would be your #tbtsnackedition?
