I wanted to do a bit of an update post with the Cheese Bomb Biscuits. When I made them last time, I switched out the cheese and used heavy cream instead of half & half. Those were good but I wanted to try the recipes exactly as Fabio’s recipe states besides the flour, of course.
These are AMAZING! I will make sure to have Parmesan cheese, Romano cheese and half & half in the fridge for when I want to make these biscuits. There is not a hint of gluten free-ness to these. Riley asked to try a piece of mine, which quickly led to “I NEED a big one, mama”. He inhaled that biscuit before laying down for a nap. I can still hear him talking over the monitor about how he is going to eat another biscuit when he gets up.
Mix all the dry ingredient including the Cheese. Add the Shortening and mix with the dry ingredients till little pea size balls are formed. Then add the half & half. Once it is all mixed together, it should be a lumpy mixture that stays some what together. It will not be dough like that can be rolled out.
