Chick-Fil-A follow up

Jules from Jules Gluten Free asked Chick-fil-a for some more details regarding the new Gluten Free nuggets. Chick-fil-a has now responded to my questions about ingredients & clarified their fryer practices for their waffle fries.

Chick-fil-a has now responded to my questions about ingredients & clarified their fryer practices for their waffle fries.

Here’s the ingredient info for their grilled chicken nuggets: INGREDIENTS: 100% natural chicken tenderloins, seasoning (salt, monosodium glutamate, sugar, spices, paprika).

Here’s the Chick-fil-A information on their waffle fries:
Dear Ms. Shepard:

Thank you for taking the time to contact Chick-fil-A. You are very important to us, and we appreciate your inquiry regarding the ingredients and process of our Grilled Nuggets and Waffle Fries. We hope the following information and attachment will be helpful.

We are now serving grilled chicken nuggets as a nutritious option in our Kid’s Meal. Taste and nutrition are important to Chick-fil-A. We wanted to offer a non-breaded chicken option for children, and the grilled nuggets rose to the top of the list. We tested this item along with several other grilled options with both moms and kids, and the nuggets were the preferred option.

We use two separate pieces of equipment to cook our chicken and our Waffle Potato Fries. Our breaded chicken products are cooked in a pressure fryer with a closed lid; whereas our Waffle Fries are cooked in an open fryer. The Waffle Fries are cooked at a different time and temperature than our chicken.

Again, thank you for your time and interest in Chick-fil-A. We are grateful to know that you love Chick-fil-A, and we look forward to serving you in the future.

Sincerely,

Margaret
